How to make a 16 oz. Exotic Islands™ Smoothie

To make a 16 oz. Exotic Islands™ Smoothie in a 20 fl. oz. clear cup:

1)
2)

Add 4 fl. oz. (118 ml, or 5.5 oz. by weight) from the activated bottle, that is to say "water filled or milk filled" bottle.
Add 1.5 fl. oz. (44 ml) water, whole milk, tea, or alcoholic liqueur

Example:

Example:

for Tiramisu and Strawberry Smoothies –

1.5 fl. oz. whole milk is best!!!
If a person is intolerant to milk, only then consider 1.5 fl. oz. of water

for Tangerine and Mango Smoothies –

1.5 fl. oz. of water or tea is best!!!
To make an alcoholic drink, 1.5 fl. oz. of vodka is excellent

3)

Add by weight, 9 oz. crushed ice. For those without a scale, fill a 16 fl. oz. cup all the way flat to the rim with crushed ice. This is the most critical step! ! ! To insure success, we recommend that you place a plastic volumetric cup on a scale and tare it. Weigh exactly 9 oz. = 0.562 lb = 255 grams, mark the ice level with a non-erasable ink marker and place a tape over the mark. Each store has a different ice making machine which makes a different size ice. Once you have a cup clearly marked with the ice level, you never need to weigh ice ever again.

WARNING: If you add more than 9 oz. of ice in a 16 oz. smoothie, the drink will "freeze up" and taste less sweet. If you add less than 9 oz. of ice in a a 16 oz. smoothie, the drink will be "liquidy" and sweet.

Smoothie Consistency Adjustment: Water and Ice are interchangeable. As we have no control over what temperature your freezer freezes ice to, 32°F or lower, please adjust the consistency as needed.

For Example: to THIN the consistency, substitute 1.5 oz. ice with water – thus use 7.5 oz. ice + 1.5 oz. water = 9 oz.

4)

Blend on maximum speed till 100% smooth – that is until you can no longer hear the blades (of the blender) hitting the ice.

DO NOT over blend, it will render the smoothie watery. It is best to use a Vita-Mix® automatic blender or a Vita-Mix® automatic ice shaver and blender. For a 16 oz. smoothie set the blender to 20 seconds. The blender will start and stop automatically.

5)

Serve – in a 20 fl. oz. clear cup with a dome lid having a central opening. Fill the dome of the lid with whip cream from a pressurized whip cream can. Place a straw into the cup and serve!

ON THE ROCKS: In a 20 fl. oz. cup, add 6 oz. of ice cubes, 4 fl. oz. from the activated bottle and 10.5 fl. oz. of iced tea, Italian soda, or lemonade.
